Consumer terms and conditions

These terms govern the use of Tixi Ticket by buyers and attendees, including event browsing, reservations, checkout, order confirmation, tickets, refunds, and admission credentials.

Parties, scope, and acceptance

These consumer terms and conditions form a binding agreement between Tixi Ticket BV, trading as Tixi Ticket, and each person who browses an event page, creates a reservation, completes checkout, receives an order confirmation, uses a ticket code, attends an event with a ticket issued through Tixi Ticket, or otherwise uses the platform as a buyer or attendee.

By ticking the terms checkbox, completing checkout, receiving or using a ticket, or continuing to use the platform after these terms are presented to you, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, you must not complete checkout or use a ticket issued through the platform.

If you buy tickets for another person, you confirm that you are authorised to provide that person's information where required and that you will make these terms, the privacy notice, and the organiser's event rules available to that person.

Additional organiser, venue, age, health, safety, accessibility, and entry rules may apply to the event. These terms govern your use of Tixi Ticket and do not replace any mandatory legal rights you may have as a consumer.

Definitions

In these terms, 'platform' means the Tixi Ticket website, checkout, reservation, payment, ticketing, order confirmation, and related support tools. 'Organiser' means the person or organisation that creates, publishes, manages, promotes, or operates an event through Tixi Ticket.

'Ticket' means any ticket, order right, ticket code, seat selection, table selection, VIP area selection, digital confirmation, or other admission credential issued or recorded through Tixi Ticket. 'Order' means the purchase or free checkout completed through the platform.

'You' means the buyer, attendee, or other consumer using the platform. Where the context requires, 'you' also includes a person for whom a buyer purchases or receives a ticket.

Tixi Ticket's role

Tixi Ticket provides a software and payment platform for event listings, reservations, checkout, payment processing, ticket issuing, order confirmation, refund tooling, fraud prevention, and related operational support.

The organiser is responsible for the event itself, including the event description, date, time, location, performers, venue, capacity, seating, admission policy, accessibility information, safety, legal compliance, cancellation decisions, refund policy, and delivery of the event experience.

Unless Tixi Ticket expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific event, Tixi Ticket is not the organiser, venue operator, promoter, performer, security provider, travel provider, accommodation provider, insurer, or guarantor of the event.

Tixi Ticket may collect payments and issue order confirmations through its payment infrastructure, but that payment function does not make Tixi Ticket responsible for organiser obligations that belong to the organiser by law, by event listing, or by these terms.

Eligibility and accurate information

You must be legally capable of entering into these terms. If you are under the age required to buy or attend the event, you may use the platform only with appropriate consent and in compliance with the organiser's and venue's rules.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete checkout information, including your name, email address, phone number, and attendee information where requested. Tixi Ticket and organisers may rely on that information to process the order, issue tickets, contact you about the event, support entry, process refunds, and prevent abuse.

You are responsible for ensuring that your email address and contact information are reachable and correct. Tixi Ticket is not responsible for missed notices, lost order access, delayed support, or failed entry caused by inaccurate or unavailable contact information.

Event information and organiser content

Event names, descriptions, dates, times, locations, ticket categories, prices, service fees, seat maps, table or VIP area labels, capacity, availability, age restrictions, accessibility information, refund policies, and organiser details are supplied, configured, or approved by the organiser.

Tixi Ticket may correct obvious platform errors, remove unavailable inventory, suspend checkout, unpublish an event page, or cancel affected orders where Tixi Ticket reasonably believes that information is inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, misleading, technically defective, or harmful to buyers, attendees, organisers, providers, or the platform.

Before completing checkout, you must review the event details, ticket details, date, time, location, seating or map selection, ticket quantity, price, fees, currency, organiser rules, venue rules, and any event-specific restrictions.

Reservations, inventory, and order formation

Adding tickets, seats, tables, VIP areas, or other inventory to checkout creates only a temporary reservation. A reservation does not create a completed order, guarantee admission, or guarantee that the selected inventory will remain available until payment or free checkout is completed.

Reservations may expire, be released, fail, or become unavailable if checkout is not completed in time, payment fails, inventory changes, another buyer completes a valid order, a seat-map provider rejects or expires a hold, a payment provider rejects the payment, or abuse-prevention controls block the transaction.

An order is formed only when checkout is successfully completed and Tixi Ticket creates or confirms the order in its system. Payment authorisation, payment initiation, or a temporary card hold alone does not guarantee that an order has been completed.

Tixi Ticket may impose and enforce quantity limits, reservation limits, cart limits, session limits, abuse-prevention limits, and technical controls designed to protect inventory, prevent automated purchasing, and maintain fair access to tickets.

Prices, fees, taxes, and payment

The checkout page displays the ticket price, applicable service fees, discounts, currency, and order total before you submit payment or complete a free order. You are responsible for reviewing the full order total before confirming checkout.

Unless the event page or checkout states otherwise, tax is not shown as a separate line item. The organiser is responsible for determining the tax treatment of the event and ticket price, unless Tixi Ticket is required by law to calculate, collect, withhold, or remit a tax.

Payments are processed through Tixi Ticket's payment processor. Tixi Ticket does not store full card numbers. Your payment method may also be subject to the terms, authentication steps, fraud checks, and settlement rules of your card issuer, wallet provider, bank, payment network, and payment processor.

If an event listing or checkout contains a clear technical, pricing, discount, tax, currency, or availability error, Tixi Ticket may cancel or correct the affected order and refund the amount paid, unless mandatory law requires a different remedy.

Withdrawal rights and dated event tickets

Where EU, Belgian, or similar consumer law applies, consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain distance contracts within fourteen days (article VI.47 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law; article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU). However, under article VI.53, 12° of the Code of Economic Law and article 16, first paragraph, point (l) of Directive 2011/83/EU, that withdrawal right does not apply to services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, which includes tickets for events, accommodation, catering, transport, and similar dated services.

The checkout confirms this exclusion before you complete your order, in line with the pre-contractual information requirements of article VI.45, §1, 11° of the Code of Economic Law.

Accordingly, unless mandatory law, the organiser's published refund policy, or Tixi Ticket's written confirmation gives you a cancellation or refund right, ticket orders for dated events are not automatically cancellable merely because you change your mind, can no longer attend, bought the wrong ticket, or selected the wrong quantity.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right, statutory remedy, or refund obligation that applies because an event is cancelled, materially changed, misdescribed, unlawful, or otherwise defective under applicable law.

Tickets, delivery, and admission

After successful payment or completion of a free order, Tixi Ticket creates order and ticket records. Tickets may include ticket codes, holder names, ticket types, prices, selected seats or objects, check-in status, and related admission information.

Order details are made available through the order confirmation page and through any additional delivery method Tixi Ticket enables, such as email or another ticket access flow. You are responsible for keeping order links, ticket codes, and admission credentials secure.

Unless the organiser expressly allows transfer, resale, or name changes, tickets are personal to the buyer or attendee identified in the order records. Tixi Ticket does not provide a general ticket transfer or resale marketplace.

The first valid scan, redemption, or check-in of a ticket code may be treated as the valid use of that ticket. Duplicate, copied, altered, resold, published, transferred, refunded, voided, or fraudulently obtained tickets may be refused.

Admission is controlled by the organiser and venue. The organiser or venue may require proof of identity, age verification, security screening, dress code compliance, arrival before a cut-off time, or compliance with health, safety, accessibility, and venue rules.

Event changes, cancellations, and refunds

The organiser is primarily responsible for cancellations, postponements, relocations, line-up changes, venue changes, capacity changes, safety issues, entry refusals, and event-specific refund decisions, unless Tixi Ticket has expressly accepted responsibility in writing.

You may request a refund through the platform where the platform makes refund requests available. Unless mandatory law, the organiser's published policy, or Tixi Ticket's written confirmation requires otherwise, refund requests must be made before the event start time and are not accepted after the event has started.

Before the event start time, the organiser may approve a full or partial refund through Tixi Ticket. Ordinary refund requests are not automatically approved and remain at the organiser's discretion, unless mandatory law, the organiser's published policy, or Tixi Ticket's written confirmation requires otherwise.

A partial refund applies only to the selected tickets, seats, tables, VIP areas, or other admission items and the rest of the order may remain valid.

If an event is cancelled, Tixi Ticket may refund the refundable ticket subtotal for affected tickets through the platform. Platform service fees, payment processing costs, discounts, partially used tickets, travel costs, accommodation costs, lost enjoyment, and other indirect or consequential costs are not refunded unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

If an event is postponed, rescheduled, relocated, or materially changed, refunds or other remedies may be handled through Tixi Ticket where required by mandatory law, required by payment network rules, required by Tixi Ticket's risk controls, approved by the organiser, or otherwise made available through the platform's order tools.

A refunded ticket is voided, its ticket code may be invalidated, and any related seat, table, VIP area, or inventory item may be released for resale or otherwise made unavailable to you.

Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Refund timing depends on the payment processor, card issuer, bank, payment network, and any fraud, dispute, or compliance review.

Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe there is a problem with an order, you should contact Tixi Ticket or the organiser before initiating a payment dispute, where reasonably possible. This does not limit any lawful right you may have to dispute a payment with your payment provider.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for an order that remains valid, Tixi Ticket or the organiser may suspend the order, void affected tickets, restrict future purchases, or provide evidence to the payment processor or payment network.

You must not use chargebacks, payment disputes, refund requests, duplicate accounts, false information, or technical interference to obtain tickets without payment or to avoid applicable event rules.

Your conduct

You must not use the platform for fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, bot purchases, scraping, inventory hoarding, unauthorised resale, sanctions evasion, unlawful activity, security testing without permission, interference with checkout, or attempts to bypass quantity, eligibility, age, or access limits.

You must not copy, reverse engineer, attack, overload, disrupt, crawl, scrape, or misuse the platform, payment flow, ticket codes, seat-map systems, reservation systems, or any provider systems connected to Tixi Ticket.

Tixi Ticket may refuse, cancel, refund, void, suspend, or block any order, ticket, reservation, account, device, session, or payment where Tixi Ticket reasonably believes there is fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, payment risk, sanctions risk, safety risk, technical misuse, or breach of these terms.

Privacy and communications

Tixi Ticket's privacy notice explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, stored, and protected for event pages, checkout, reservations, orders, tickets, payment references, refund handling, cookies, security, abuse prevention, support, organiser analytics, and event operations.

By completing checkout, you understand that relevant buyer, attendee, order, ticket, refund, check-in, and analytics data may be made available to the organiser and authorised organisation members for the relevant event.

Tixi Ticket and the organiser may send you transactional and operational communications about your order, ticket, payment, refund, event changes, entry requirements, or safety matters. Marketing communications, where used, must have an appropriate lawful basis.

Platform availability and third-party services

Tixi Ticket uses third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments, seat maps, inventory operations, email, security, analytics, and infrastructure. The platform may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or inaccurate because of maintenance, provider outages, network problems, browser settings, payment authentication failures, or events outside Tixi Ticket's reasonable control.

Tixi Ticket may update, suspend, restrict, replace, or discontinue any platform feature where needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, provider requirements, fraud prevention, operational integrity, or product changes.

Tixi Ticket is not responsible for a failure caused by your device, browser, internet connection, email provider, payment provider, bank, card issuer, wallet provider, or other service outside Tixi Ticket's reasonable control.

Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer protection rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tixi Ticket is not responsible for organiser promises, event quality, venue conditions, performer changes, weather, travel losses, accommodation losses, indirect losses, lost enjoyment, or losses caused by your breach of these terms or event rules.

Where Tixi Ticket is liable to you in connection with a consumer order, Tixi Ticket's liability is limited to the amount you paid through Tixi Ticket for the affected order, unless applicable law requires a higher remedy.

If any clause is found unenforceable against a consumer, that clause will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining clauses will continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

Tixi Ticket may update these consumer terms when the platform, checkout, payment flow, providers, laws, risk controls, or business model change. The date at the top shows when the terms were last updated.

The terms in effect when you complete checkout apply to that order, unless a later change is required by law, is more favourable to you, or applies only to future platform use.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in the country where you live.

If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms deprives you of any mandatory right to contact a consumer protection authority, seek alternative dispute resolution where available, or rely on local mandatory consumer protections.

If a complaint is not resolved with Tixi Ticket directly, consumers in Belgium may contact the Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst / Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur, consumentenombudsdienst.be) for out-of-court dispute resolution.

The European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued as of 20 July 2025. For consumer redress information in the European Union, you may consult the European Commission's consumer redress resources or your local consumer authority.
