This cookie policy explains how Tixi Ticket uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies on our public website, event pages, checkout, and related platform surfaces.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Local storage and session storage are browser storage technologies that can remember information on your device without sending it with every request.

This policy should be read with our privacy notice, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

We use necessary cookies and storage to provide the service you request, including checkout, reservation ownership, payment security, abuse prevention, authentication, account security, consent storage, and basic platform operation.

Checkout uses an anonymous session cookie named __Host-sid to keep a reservation linked to the same browser. This cookie is HTTP-only and Secure, and can last up to 30 days. It uses SameSite=None with partitioned storage so that checkout also works when embedded on an organiser's website. Each embedding website receives its own separate copy of the cookie, so it cannot be used to follow you across sites.

Checkout may also use session storage for cart lock identifiers and local storage for checkout presence identifiers. These records help keep checkout state stable across refreshes, tabs, and short-lived reservation activity.

We store your cookie consent choice so we can remember whether you accepted optional cookies. This consent choice lasts for up to 180 days unless you clear it earlier.

Preference cookies and storage remember non-essential interface choices. For example, the theme preference cookie tixi-theme stores whether you selected system, light, or dark mode. It can last up to one year.

If you reject optional preference cookies, the platform may still work, but some choices may not persist between visits.

Analytics cookies and similar technologies help us understand how visitors use the product, which pages or checkout steps are working, and where flows may need improvement.

We only use optional analytics cookies where they are enabled in the product and your consent is required and has been given. If analytics is disabled or you do not consent, we do not use optional analytics cookies for that browser.

With analytics consent, event tracking links store the last valid link code for each event in local storage under tixi:tracking-link:<event id>. The attribution expires after 7 days. This lets organisers measure purchases made for that event in the same browser. A later valid tracking link replaces the earlier one.

An anonymous session identifier in session storage, tixi:tracking-link-session, prevents repeat visits from being counted more than once per link within 24 hours. These tracking-link records are not used by embedded checkout. Declining analytics does not prevent a ticket purchase.

Marketing cookies and similar technologies may be used for campaign measurement, attribution, retargeting, or understanding whether advertising led to a visit or ticket sale.

We only use optional marketing cookies where they are enabled in the product and your consent is required and has been given. If marketing cookies are disabled or you do not consent, we do not use optional marketing cookies for that browser.

Some cookies and similar technologies may be set or read by providers that help us run the platform, including authentication, payment, seat-map, hosting, security, email, analytics, and infrastructure providers.

Providers that support payment processing, authentication, organisation access, seat maps, and inventory may use cookies or storage needed for fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, account security, and map-based availability.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy and cookie notices where they act independently. Where they act for Tixi Ticket, we use them to provide, secure, and improve the platform.

The cookie banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or choose preference, analytics, and marketing categories where those technologies are enabled.

You can withdraw or change consent by clearing Tixi Ticket's stored consent in your browser and choosing again when the cookie banner appears. Rejecting optional cookies stops optional preference storage, product analytics, and marketing tracking for that browser.

Most browsers also let you block cookies, delete cookies, or clear local and session storage. Blocking necessary cookies or storage may prevent checkout, reservations, authentication, payment, and ticket access from working correctly.

Cookie and storage retention depends on the purpose. Session storage usually ends when the browser tab or session ends. The anonymous checkout session can last up to 30 days. The consent choice can last up to 180 days. The theme preference can last up to one year.

Tracking-link attribution expires after 7 days; expired browser records are removed when next checked. Withdrawing analytics consent removes tracking-link browser records when the updated choice is applied. Server visit records expire after 24 hours and are removed by scheduled cleanup, normally within the following hour. Aggregate counts and completed order attribution remain in organiser reports.

Provider cookies may have their own retention periods. We keep cookie-derived records only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, the privacy notice, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, support, and dispute handling.

We may update this policy when the product, providers, laws, or cookie practices change. The date at the top shows when the policy was last updated.
