Accessibility statement

Buying a ticket should work for everyone. This statement describes the accessibility standard we build Tixi Ticket against, where we currently fall short, and how to reach us when something is in your way.

What this statement covers

This statement covers the Tixi Ticket public website, event pages, the ticket checkout, order confirmation, and the digital tickets we deliver by email, together with the public help center.

It is published to meet the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and its Belgian implementation in the Code of Economic Law, which apply to e-commerce services such as our ticket checkout.

The standard we build against

We design and develop these services to meet the accessibility requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, which for web content corresponds to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.

In practice this means we work towards pages that can be used with a keyboard alone, are compatible with screen readers, maintain sufficient colour contrast in light and dark themes, respect reduced-motion preferences, and keep forms and error messages understandable and programmatically labelled.

Conformance status

The services covered by this statement partially conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conforming means that most content meets the standard, and we are working to resolve the parts that do not yet.

We review accessibility as part of ongoing product development and address barriers we find or that are reported to us, prioritising the ticket-buying flow.

Known limitations

Interactive seat and venue maps are visually oriented by nature. Where seat selection is not fully usable with assistive technology, general admission alternatives or assistance through the organiser or our support team are available.

Some content on event pages, such as images, descriptions, and documents, is supplied by event organisers, and its accessibility can vary. We provide organisers with tooling and guidance, but we cannot guarantee organiser-supplied content meets the standard.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of the ticket-buying experience is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know. Contact us at support@tixiticket.com or open a ticket through the help center, and include the page and what went wrong.

We aim to respond to accessibility reports promptly and to fix confirmed barriers in the checkout with priority.

Enforcement and supervision

In Belgium, the Economic Inspection of the Federal Public Service Economy (FOD Economie / SPF Économie) supervises the accessibility of e-commerce services under the European Accessibility Act.

If you have reported an accessibility problem to us and are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the FPS Economy.

About this statement

This statement was prepared based on our own assessment of the services and is reviewed when the product or the applicable requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
